Poetry with text in Dutch and in Latin. With the illustration of the Statue of the Dutch “vader des vaderlands” Willem I, Willem de Zwijger. Engraving after J. Oudaan, with some frayes and 2 small wormholes in de left side. Total size: 28,5 x 19 cm. All pages with some wormholes, getting smaller to the end. With engraving of Erasmus statue and frontispiece Propatria Libertate, therefore complete first part. In the second part “Vervolg van de Nederduitse Keurdigten”, two fairy tales (sprookjes) with woodcuts. Woodcut of Gysje den Os and of the buffelo “Buffeltje”. P. 74 and 75.

Full vellum binding with badly repaired spine with modern vellum, Octavo edition, in -8, 19 x 13 cm.

Provenance: With handwritten name on right top of titlepage: A. Bremond (?) Zutphen.

[NL] Bloemlezing met verzameling van gedichten zowel in het Nederlands (Nederduits) als Latijn. Vaak met politieke, satirische en patriottische inhoud. Uitgegeven in 1710 in Rotterdam met een vervolg in 1717. Later kwam er ook nog een tweede vervolg. Met gedichten van beroemde auteurs als Govert Bidloo, Joachim Oudaan etc. Met standbeeld van Willem I, de vader des vaderlands en Erasmus. Veel gelegenheidsgedichten en verwijzingen naar beroemde Nederlanders in die tijd.
