This luxury “new history” of Zeeland is printed in folio with more than 90 richly detailed, full-page and fold-out maps and illustrations. It is divided into five books, with an appended “Description of the Zeeland Nobility” that includes illustrations of the coats of arms of regional nobility. A manuscript note of ownership is written in ink inside the front cover with the date of 1815, likely added by the Dutch nobleman François-Antoine de Neufforge, son of the architect and engraver Jean-François de Neufforge, best known for his Recueil elementaire d’architecture (1762).
