Published by: “Ausschuss für Werbeangelegenheiten der Cigarettenindustrie” and “Ausschuss der Cigarrenindustrie zur Regelung des Schaufenster-Dekorationswesens”.

Full guilt embossed binding with some wear, 18,5 x 11 cm. Binding with some wear but overall in good condition. On the back of the binding a small stain. With frontispiece of ladies in an interior.

[NL] Duitstalige commerciële of reclamekaart uit de tabaksindustrie, zonder datum. Vermoedelijk uit het begin van de 20e eeuw. Vroeg voorbeeld is van gecentraliseerde retailmarketing en visuele merchandising in de tabaksindustrie. Met kaart van Zwitserland waarin de decoratiegebieden werden ingedeeld. In de tabaksbranche verwees dat waarschijnlijk naar geografische regio’s voor etalagedecoratie, reclamecampagnes, vertegenwoordigers en distributie van affiches en winkelmateriaal. De kaart verdeelt Zwitserland in kleurzones (“Dekorationsgebiete”) met weekschema’s A–D. Dat wijst op een centraal georganiseerd systeem voor etalage- en reclamecampagnes van sigaren- en sigarettenfabrikanten. Winkeldecoraties werden dus regionaal gecoördineerd.

Datering circa 1930 omdat de typografie en lithografische kleurindeling passen eerder bij jaren 1930–40 dan bij naoorlogse offsetdruk en “Cigarettenindustrie” met dubbel-t de oude Duitse spelling is die vóór de spellinghervormingen gangbaar bleef.
