Deer hunt; a deer running towards left, chased by a dog, with a large oak tree behind at centre and a stag pursued by a huntsman on horseback and two dogs behind to left.
Fourth from a set of nine prints without plate numbers or frontispiece. There are various related drawings for plates in the series in the Uffizi, Albertina, Pierpont Morgan Library and Windsor.
Lettered in margin below image with production detail: “SDBella” in drypoint. Although not documented, there is a second state of this plate at the Philadelphia museum of Art inv. 1985-52-25194 with an extra signature and the privilege: S. D. Bella F. / Cum Privil. Regis.
