[Antique drawing] Seated woman (zittende vrouw), ca. 1800-1833.

Full-length figure of a woman seated on a chair, slightly turned to the left, her right elbow leaning on the back of the chair, holding her chin with the right hand. Left hand loosely resting on her lap. She wears a bonnet on her head.

The name of the artist, famous Dutch aquarellist, draftsman and painter, reported in pencil on verso. Schotel’s usually paints marines and peasants.

Black chalk on paper in passepartout; total: 322 x 230 mm; some rubbing and traces of light exposure, otherwise in great condition.
