Very decorative travel guide of Palermo, Sicily (Sicilië) Italy. Text in French. TOGETHER WITH a letter written on the paper of Villa Igiea Grand Hotel Palerme with handwritten text: Hotel excelsior, Taormina, Sicilien, Italien.

Full linen binding with some wear, 22 x 14,5 cm. Interior in good condition, some tiny spots on some pages. Richly illustrated, see photo’s.

Provenance: From the library of Edgar Goldschmid, pasted in ex libris on endpaper. Edgar Goldschmid (1881-1957) was a German physician, pathologist and historian of medicine. Career and work. edit. Born to a Jewish family, he was a son of the banker Eduard Goldschmid, famous art collector.
