Founded in 1784, the Society is concerned with matters of general interest – such as education, self-development and social discussion – and strives for development with the highest possible amount of cultural content.
This ex praemio is for a third-prize winner in the third form listed as “Aug. Faure”, “Als hebbende op twee na de meeste teekens van goedkeuring ontvangen”. The prize was awarded on July 9th of 1823 by schoolteacher G. Polvliet Jr. and the secretary of the school council G Buys.
