Three epruves d’artiste impressions of three different states by Poppe Damave, representing possibly a portrait of the wife of the artist breastfeeding their just born daughter Wilhelmina. The different states show the progression of the invention and work of the artist. Signed at bottom with annotations on the various states and the designated receiver, in pencil. With a card bearing information on the newborn and the address of the family: “Geboren Wilhelmina / 31 Oct. 1954 / Tine & PoppeDamave / Langeherenstraat 9 Haarlem”.

Etchings and aquatint on paper, with some margins; plate mark: 95 x 60 mm, total: ca. 124 x 71 mm; states I to III; in great condition; with some fresh ink traces on the margins.
