The front and backboards show the illustration of three little girls looking over a patio door. The picture is surrounded with a flower pattern on a green background. Every page contains a poem and different types of illustrations by Kate Greenaway. This book shows that color printing evolved rapidly at the end of the nineteenth century. The colours used by Greenaway are printed in a more vibrant, self-coloured way. This book is another great example of how beautifully she drew Victorian-like costumes and flowers.
