Antique print, lithography portrait. 38 x 28 cm.  Discovered when she was nine year’s old, first performance at ten. Favorite of the Swedish Royal Opera and succesful in whole of Europe. In 1850 she was travelling with P.T. Barnum, becoming very popular as “the Swedish nightingale”/”De Zweedse Nachtegaal”. Phineas Taylor Barnum was an American showman, businessman, and politician, remembered for promoting celebrated hoaxes and founding the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Nowadays famous because of the movie “The Greatest Showman”.

She married the young pianoplayer Otto Goldschmidt. Published by Amsterdam Frans Bugga & Zonen, 14 maart 1855.

With the text “Ich muss nun einmal singen”.
