Attractive full vellum prizebinding from Amsterdam (with the three crosses stamped on the front and back). Full Greek text and Latin explications and translations. The Homeri Opera Omnia , edited by Samuel Clarke (S.T.P.) and Johann August Ernesti, is a comprehensive edition of Homer’s complete works, including the Iliad and the Odyssey . Ernesti, a renowned German classical scholar, contributed his own annotations, enhancing the scholarly value of the work.
Bindings with some damages, interior very frayes and some smudges. Much used copy but therefore very interesting.
