Portrait of Paulus Pontius, half-length in frontal view but looking towards the left, with mid-length hair, a short beard and moustache, wearing a slit and buttoned doublet with lace collar, and a cloak over his right shoulder, his right hand pointing down at the level of his abdomen; seventh state with the initials of Gillis Hendricx burnhished.

Titled at bottom center:Paulus du Pont Calcographus. / Antverpiæ.

Signed below: Ant. van Dyck fecit aqua forti.
