The great fire in the De Twee Leeuwen brewery in Rotterdam, 19 March 1782. Seen from the west side of the Leuvehaven. Spectators left and right on the quay.

Signed and titled below: “Afbeelding van den Brand te Rotterdam den 19 Maart 1782 in de Brouwery de Twee Leeuwen van de west zyde van de Leuvehaven te zien;” “A. Groenendijk ad vivum delineavit / J: Groenendijk schulpsit 1782.”

Handcolored etching and engraving, trimmed within plate mark and pasted down on a cardboard panel; total (panel): 347 x 476 mm; important tear at the bottom of the print repaired by pasting down; nice vibrant colors. Muller 4477.
