A disabled man seated on a small stool, his right leg stretched out and his foot resting on a skate. The inscription below the description of how he deambulates. Inscription in Dutch at the bottom: ”Het Beste beentje moet voor uyt,… Zo ik niet liep op Vyf paar voeten’. Signed under the picture: ‘P. Barbiers / P. Langendijk.’ From a set of various similar compositions.
Engraving on paper, printed in red ink, trimmed within plate mark, total: 117 x 92 mm; traces of previous mounting on verso, otherwise in very good condition.
