Portrait of Paul de Vos, half-length turned to right, with long hair, beard and moustache, wearing a large frilled collar, semi-buttoned doublet and cloak, his left hand wrapped in the cloak atthe level of his stomach, his right gesturing towards the lower margin; fourth state with cloak retouched to expose right arm.

The portrait is a copy in reverse of the etching by Van Dyck, Joannes Meyssens and Schelte á Bolswert (New Hollstein 13).

Titled at bottom center: Paulus De Vos / Antverpiensis, pictor in omni genere animalium etiam venationum, nec minus / Instrumentorum tum bellicorum tum aliorum per totum orbem celebris.
