Portrait of Wilhelm Caesarinus von Imbsen, bust-length, facing front, wearing a slashed gown, bands and a wig, a cross suspended from a cord around his neck, in an oval decorated with laurel branches, below a lettered cartouche with coat of arms. Wilhelm was a cleric/religious official; German; Male.

Oval lettered with Latin motto: Patientia vincit. / Humili tonat undique frustra.

Cartouche at bottom with the name of the sitter as above followed by a dedication to the sitter by his nephews: Majori Transylvaniae apud Cibinios Praeposito Infulato… hanc illius Effigiem sui ex Fratre Nepotes Beneficorum memores obtulerunt Anno 1699.
