Isaac de Vos was a 17th-century Dutch playwright from Amsterdam, best known for his lively farces kluchten that portrayed everyday city life with humor and satire. His Klucht van de Moffin typifies his style, using dialect and caricature to mock social tensions and foreign characters (Germans, Moffen) in the Dutch Golden Age.

[NL] Isaac de Vos (ca 1615-1670) was een Nederlandse toneelschrijver in Amsterdam, tijdgenoot van Jan Vos en Vondel. De vos schreef voornamelijk kluchten. De Vos maakt gebruik van dialecten en sociaal realistische taal om personages neer te zetten; boeren, dienstmeiden, soldaten en buitenlanders zoals hier de Duitsers.
