This story is about Viviane, also known as 'The Lady of The Lake'. Viviane learns her magic from Merlin, who falls in love with her. She refuses to give him her love until he has taught her all his secrets, after which she uses her power to trap him. This tragic love story is illustrated beautifully by Doré. B2357
