Rare 18th-century libertine novel exposing convent life through an intimate and provocative dialogue between two nuns, published under a fictitious Roman imprint in 1778. Notorious French libertine classic, combining eroticism, anti-clerical satire and a provocative portrayal of female sexuality behind convent walls.

Prototype van een anti-papistische roman in de vorm van een dialoog tussen nonnen die tegelijk prostituee zijn. Pornografisch qua inhoud, met name sado-masochistisch. Het boek verscheen in de 18e eeuw zowel in Engelse als in Franse edities, maar deze editie uit 1778 is onvindbaar.
