Two worn-out plough horses; at left a tree trunk and section of fence; close-by the first horse seen from the rear; in the centre, the second horse in three quarter view facing towards the right; in the middle-distance cows in a meadow; beyond them a village with trees, a church and a windmill. Plate smaller than Potter’s Hollstein 12: tree on the left much shorter, lower border much more within the picture. Hatchings on the lower left corner traced with a continuous line. Might be a copy of a late state; signature and date not included. On the verso in pen: ‘TaveLundh l. 1896 / Sweden’. Rare impression of a copy by Lundh after the Dutch master.
Etching on paper, trimmed on platemark; total: 136 x 212 mm; small damage on the lower right corner. PA01
