The Italian bird catcher (Italiaanse vogelvanger).

A man shown three-quarters length standing directed slightly to right, looking towards the viewer, holding a shotgun against his hip and a bird cage in his right hand, wearing a plain coat open, with a chain of small bells and whistles hanging from one of the button-holes. He is wearing a soft round hat with a decorated hem. First state.

Mezzotint on paper with margins; plate mark: 352 x 252 mm, total: 382 x 279 mm; first state, before lettering; some scratches on the bottom, otherwise in great conditions, on the verso traces of previous mounting.
