Religion, [s.d.], Prayer Book | Godvruchtige Leidsman, Aanwyzende den Weg ten Hemel, P.J. Brepols, Turnhout, [s.d.], 472 pp.
Godvruchtige Leidsman was a popular prayer book in the nineteenth century. Several editions appeared in the 18th century, but it is not entirely clear when the first edition of this prayer book was published. The prayer book was used mainly in the diocese of Bruges. Bruges was also the origin of P.J. Hanicq, who would later emerge in Mechelen as the largest publisher of church books in the Southern Netherlands. At least 20 editions of the Godvruchtige Leidsman appeared until 1851, 16 of which were published by Hanicq. This particular edition was published by P.J. Brepols in Turnhout.
The Godvruchtige Leidsman contains 16 engraved plates. These plates were reused for the catchpenny prints of the same publisher.
