Many fleeing riders: in the foreground an officer with a broken banner on a lance. Beyond him a fallen horse. Signed on the bottom right: ‘D. Langendijk’. On verso Ploos van Amstel’s mark [L.2725].
Included by Christiaan Josi in an edition with 100 works by Dutch and Flemish masters: “Collection d’imitations de dessins d’après les principaux maîtres hollandais et flamands,” London, C.Josi, 1821. All prints in this edition bear the verso on the verso coat of arms of Cornelis Ploos van Amstel.
