Portrait of Portrait of Henry Slatius, theologian. Bust, turned to the left in lettered oval: ‘HENRICUS SLATIUS …ET CONSPIRATIO’; on each side of the oval two serpents with a piece of paper in their mouths with a Medusa’s head on it and hiding a pistol with their tails. Under the portrait an opened book showing a torch and lettered: ‘Liber Seditionis’. Below three lines in Latin: ‘Hendrick Danielss Slatius… landen.’ Pendant of Portrait of Reinier van Oldebarnevelt (ref. 60620).
