The text addresses Brandenburg’s concerns about the imminent and almost inevitable dangers arising from the continuation of the war between the two great crowns (France and the Habsburg Monarchy) and the possible implications for the Republic and its allies in the late phase of the Franco-Habsburg conflicts (context: aftermath of the Franco-Dutch War and tensions preceding the Nine Years’ War).
