Frontispiece to the set of seven plates and this page, designed by Antonio Tempesta. The plates depitc the seven Wonders of the World. The title reads: SEPTEM | ORBIS ADMIRANDA | EX ANTIQVITATIS MONVMENTIS COLLECTA, | ET OBLECTATIONI PVBLICAE IN AEREAS TABVLAS | AB | ANTONIO TEMPESTA FLORENTINO | RELATA: | A | IVSTO RYCHIO GANDENSE | VERSIBVS CELEBRATA, | ROMAE | ANNO M.DC.IIX. | Venduntur | Antuerpiae | apud Io. Bap.tam | Vrintium.
Therefore the set was published in Rome and sold in Antwerp. At the bottom the dedication to the collector Charles de Croy (1560-1614).

Etching on paper with small margins; plate mark: 224 x 287 mm, total: 245 x 308 mm. Somefoxing and dirt on the margin above, possibly due to the glue employed to mount the print to a cardboard mat. Nicely contrasted impression. Bartsch XVII.187.1452. Date of print 1608.
