[Original etching/ets] Festivals and ceremonies given to Maria de’Medici by the city of Amsterdam

Plate 9 of the illustrations in the description of the festivities made in the occasion of the visit of Maria de’ Medici to Amsterdam from 31 August to 5 September 1638. Signed on the bottom right: “CL Moyaert inv.”; plate unnumbered.
Handwritten in pen and brown ink, below: “Vertooning, Vrankrijck onder Henrick III geschurt Door Heinrick IV geheelt.” which translates in “Representation, France destroyed by Henry III and restored by Henry IV”.

Etching on paper with some margin; plate mark: 293 x 387 mm, total: 329 x 410 mm; state II/3; light damp stain, visible on verso; despite a tear at the bottom and a reparation visible on the verso, on the bottom, on the plate mark, in great condition. Hollstein 95, Van Stolk 1822. Watermark with grapes.
