Portrait of William II, Prince of Orange; bust turned to the right, wearing an armor. On the lower part a representation of the Peace of Münster and just under the portrait of William is a dove with an olive branch in its beak.
An oval medallion frame with inscription: ‘WILLEM DE II. PRINS VAN ORANJE, enz. enz. enz.’ Below, in the middle: ‘Honthotst Pinxit’; on bottom left: ‘P. Tanjé del. et sculp. 1749’ Lettered in the lower margin: ‘Societ. Bibliopol. Roterod. Excud.’
On verso annotations in pen and brown ink concerning the regent’s dates of birth and death. Collector’s mark on the top right, on verso: ‘Dom. Fam. V.Z. / d.d. 1.1.1984’.
