A cartouche beneath with the devil at the gates to hell; illustration to François Halma’s “Toneel der Vereenigde Nederlanden, en onderhoorige landschappen”. Titled below, within the portrait-plate: “PHILIPS de II”. Date of publishing 1725, by Hendrick Halma in Leeuwarden.
Etching and engraving on paper, two plates; interior plate: 234 x 161 mm, external plate: 340 x 247 mm, total: 370 x 265; rather cooked paper, especially on the margins where some stains are visible, especially from the verso; handwritten note in pencil on verso, above. Interesting impression.
