William V, prince of Holland (Willem van Oranje), half-length, turned towards the right but looking at the viewer, holding a stick. At the bottom an allegorical representation. Titled on the oval frame: ‘WILLEM DE V., PRINS VAN ORANJE, EERSTADHOUDER DER VEREENIGDE NEDERLANDEN, enz. enz. enz.’; signed at bottom: ‘A. Schouman delin. J. Houbraken sculps./ P. Meijer excud.’ On verso some annotations in pencil concerning the life of William V.

Etching and engraving on laid paper; platemark: 364 x 234 mm; total: 398 x 274 mm; mounted into passe-partout, in great condition. Muller 348g.
