Aquatint is een diepdruk-etstechniek, alsmede de benaming voor een afdruk daarvan. Het is een variant op traditioneel etsen, waarbij geen lijnen maar egale vlakken ontstaan. Zodoende kan men een egale toon verkrijgen. Er ontstaat een op waterverf lijkend resultaat.
