[NL] Officiele Franse gerechtelijke brief uit de revolutionaire periode afkomstig uit Malines = Mechelen. Handgeschept papier met sporen van de lakzegel. Bovenaan staat een lithografie met drukrand, moet, van vrouwe justitiamet tekst Imp. des Armées. DaDaarboven de tekst Liberté Justice Égalité en Republique Francaise, uns et indivisible. Aan de voorkant de adressering: Au citoyen Olivier juge de paix de la 1re section du canton de Malines = Burger Olivier vrederechter van de 1e sectie van het kanton Mechelen. Afzender: Le Greffier en chef du tribunal civil du département des Deux Nèthes, de Franse bestuursnaam voor de provincie Antwerpen (1795-1814). Onderaan een handtekening van de griffier.

Vrij vertaald staat in de brief dat de Rechtbank laat weten dat, ondanks herhaalde oproepen, de tegenpartij niet is verschenen. Omdat er geen enkel verweer werd ingediend, is er geen verdere aanklacht meer nodig. Het eerder opgemaakt proces-verbaal van 8 dezer maand wordt als volledig geldig beschouwd. De zaak wordt hiermee als afgehandeld beschouwd.
