This print originates from Lodovico Guicciardini’s ‘Descrittione di tutti i Paesi bassi / Beschryvinghe van alle de Neder-landen (…),’ published by Blaeu or Janssonius, between 1612-1648. This was an influential account of the history and the arts of the Low Countries, accompanied by city maps by various leading engravers. Deys 2001.

Etching with margins; plate mark: 231 x 318 mm, total: 315 x 347 mm; state II/2; two vertical folding creases, very sharp impression. In paper passepartout.
