Signed at the bottom: Johannes Hasebroek excudit.

This border was employed as a frame for several portraits of Dutch theologians and preachers, published between 1740 and 1780. See for example the impressions at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam: RP-P-OB-65.044, and RP-P-OB-65.087.
