Personification of Judea, seated on the body of a priest and on a pile of idols, looking at an angel offering her an olive branch, and at another symbolizing Vengence and threatening her with a burning sword; at top left sits Justice; in the distance, the Temple of Jerusalem, burning.

Frontispiece to an unidentified edition of Prideaux’s ‘Histoire Des Juifs et Des Peuples Voisins’ (Amsterdam, 1722, or 1728 ?).
