A beggar with a wooden leg sits on a log and cuts meat or bread with a knife. Behind him is another beggar and in front of him is a dog pointing its nose towards the food.

Numbered on the bottom right corner: 12. From a set of twenty-six numbered plates, with beggars and peasants.

Originally published by Hendrick Hondius between 1634 and 1638 and further republished by Cl. J. Visscher in 1652.

[NL] Een bedelaar met een houten been zit op een blok en snijdt vlees of brood met een mes. Achter hem staat een andere landloper en voor hem zit een hond die de neus in de richting van het voedsel houdt. De prent maakt deel uit van een serie van zesentwintig prenten met bedelaars en boeren.
