[Antique print, etching, The Hague] DE GROOTE of St JACOBS KERK in Den Haag, published ca. 1735.

View of the Groote Kerk in The Hague (de Grote Kerk in Den Haag) dedicated to St. Jacob. In front of the church is the fish market. This print was used in: Jacob de Riemer’s: “Beschryving van ‘s-Graven-Hage…” Delft and Den Haag, 1730-1739.

Titled above, on a ribbon: ‘DE GROOTE of St JACOBS KERK.’ Signed at bottom: ‘G.v. Giessen del. / R. Boitet Excud. Cum Privil’.

 

Etching on laid paper with margins and watermarks; plate mark: 280 x 340 mm, total: 320 x 390 mm; two sheets joined together on the verso; some smudges and a bit cooked paper, nice view of the church in The Hague.
