From a set of twelve landscapes, plate nr. 7 depicting some houses and boats on the bank of a river.
Lettered below left ‘I: van Goyen inventor’ and at right ‘I: de Visscher fecit’. Numbered right corner ‘7’. According to the Hollstein, the original drawing by van Goyen, dating 1653, is at the Louvre (inv. 22.616). The set is titled: ‘Regiunculæ Amoenissimæ eleganter delineate Johanne van Goyen et æri incisæ per Johannem de Visscher’.

Etching and engraving on paper, with margins; plate mark: 123 x 200 mm; total: 138 x 214 mm; in great condition; traces of previous mounting on verso; Hollstein 36, Wess. 65.
