Sheet with three scenes with traditional appointments in the Netherlands around Pentecost and Epiphany. Above: on Whitsun in Schermerhorn a girl (the Pentecostblom or Pentecost bride) is carried around by four other girls. On the bottom left: in The Hague, girls decorated with flowers go door-to-door at Pentecost to collect money. On the bottom right: on Three Kings Eve in Amsterdam, people go door-to-door singing with the star of the three kings.
Each of the scene is titled: ‘COUTUME observée à SCHERMERHORN à la PENTECOTE / COUTUME de la PENTECOTE a la HAYE / L’ETOILE des ROIS promenee dans AMSTERDAM’.
