Plate with a bird-eye view over Delft, The Hague and Leiden. The core of the scene takes place at the top right, with the liberation of the city of Leiden from the Spaniards.

Below, four lines of text in Latin, with the description of the scene. Numbered within the plate, at bottom left, and on the top left of the page. Title of the book section above: ‘Sous Philippe second, gouvernant Don Loys de Requesens.’

This print originates from ‘Guillaume Baudart, Les guerres de Nassau (…), Amsterdam, Michiel Colijn, 1616. With pictures and descriptions of battles and sieges which occurred during the war against the King of Spain.
