[Antique print, board game, etching and engraving] Het Vaderlandsch Werp-spel, published 1786.

Board game to play with dice in such combinations that win (T as a winning) and others that lose (Z as a payout). Consisting of 20 circular boxes plus a square central box.

Plate signed on the bottom: “J. Voorman inv. / J. Verlem excud.”

In Buijnsters: “Anti-oranjegezind werpspel met 2 dobbelstenen. In het midden de lege Generaliteitskas met 7 sloten en het wapen van Holland. Daaromheen 20 medaillons. Met ‘Regelement’ onderaan in twee kolommen boekdruk.” p. 161.

Etching and engraving on paper,  text in letterpress; total: 595 x 415 mm, folding creases, small holes on the intersections; fraied margins, some rubbing, dirt and staining; overall in fair condition. On the top margin two holes and a wire through which the print was hung. Buijnsters 2005, p.161.
