Aeneas and the Cumaean Sybil

Scene inspired by Virgil’s Aeneid (VI) showing Aeneas holding the hand of the Cumaean Sybil, holding in his hand he golden branch, preparing himself to enter the wold of the dead, lead by the Sybil. They have left behind already Cerber – three headed dog visible under the portal in the distance – and the god-river holding two vases from which the water of the infernal rivers come out: the Achéron and the Cocytus.
