View of the outskirts of Haarlem, on the so-called ‘Paters Herbergh’. Numbered on the bottom right corner: ‘4’. Fourth from a set of twelve views of the surroundings of Haarlem. On verso collector’s mark of Lyn Mildé [L. 4520].

De inn the Paters Herberg was called “In de Druyf”, Wagenweg 65 Haarlem. De druif sierde het uithangbord van de herberg, de eigenaar was Symon Claesz. Pater. Zijn vrouw heette Haesje Jacobs. De weduwe Haesje Jacobs verkocht de herberg in 1676. Paters herberg kreeg later andere namen zoals NIeuwen Hout en (Vriessche) Koedrift.
