Original etching: Fight between soldiers on horse/Gevecht tussen soldaten op paarden/cavalerie, ca 1650-1700.

Two horsemen fighting. In the background more fighting riders and on the ground a wounded horse. In respect to the original, this impression is filled with a wooded landscape and with a cloudy sky. Numbered on the bottom right with nr “6.” Rare.

 

 

 

Etching on paper, trimmed within plate mark, mounted on cardboard; total: 135 x 180 mm; some red chalk markings on verso, otherwise in great condition.
