Third plate from a set of fourteen with landscapes after Cornelis Claesz. van Wieringen. A road beside a hill on the top of which is a ruined chapel. On the street several peasants conversing. On the background mills. Signed below, on the left with Wieringen’s monogram: ‘C. CW in.’, and on the right: ‘CJV f’. Numbered on the right: ‘3’.

Etching on paper trimmed to plate mark, total: 140 x 194 mm; only state; light abrasion on the top right corner, otherwise in good condition. Hollstein 329, Simon 73. Date of print: 1613.
