Handcolored decorative Rococo print employed as a wish card. The border decorated with a decorative geometrical frame (geometrische rand). On the top corners angels and cherubs (engelen en cherubijntjes), at the bottom the Nativity (geboorte van Christus met herders) and some shepherds adoring the newborn.

Wishcard for the new year to the uncle and godfather/mother of Abraham van Exter. Signed and dated: Den 1 Januarij 1843. te Nieuwe Niedorp.

Abraham van Exter is op 19 mei 1830 geboren te Nieuwe Niedorp en was broodbakkersknecht en kramer. Hij woonde te Hensbroek, Zuid-Scharwoude. Hij was de zoon van DIrk van Exter en Trijntje van Exter. Hij trouwede te Hensbroek op 17 mei 1857, getuigen waren Dirk Schrooder, Dirk Overtwater, Dirk Schuit en Tamis Heeris. Hij trouwde met Marijtje Steenhuis, geboren te Hensbroek op 27 april 1834, van beroep Naaister, dochter van Pieter Steenhuis en Sijtje Schoen. Samen kregen ze 4 kinderen.
