Large woodcut illustration of a ‘kermis os’ in a frame with floral decorations and chalices. A bull like this was decorated for processions through the city on fairs and feast days such as Carnival, Easter or Pentecost, and slaughtered afterwards, as mentioned in the inscription: ‘Dit beest is fraai versierd,maar ’t geld al ras zijn leven, / Dan zal zijn lekker vleesch ons nuttig voedsel geven’.
