[Antique print, handcolored etching] HET OUDE HOF, published ca. 1735.

Hand colored view of the Noordeinde Palace in The Hague (Paleis Noordeinde in Den Haag), the office place of the King of Holland. This print was used in: Jacob de Riemer’s: “Beschryving van ‘s-Graven-Hage…” Delft and Den Haag, 1730-1739.

Titled above, on a ribbon: ‘HET OUDE HOF.’ Signed at bottom: ‘G.v. Giessen del. / R. Boitet Excud. Cum Privil’.

 

Handcolored etching on paper with margins; plate mark: 283 x 348 mm, total: 323 x 400 mm; one one sheet, two vertical folding creses, otherwise in good condition.
