Signed on the bottom: ‘Ioannes Peeters delin: Gasp. Bouttats fecit aqua forti et excudit Antverpiae Cum privilegio.’ Titled in the sky, with the coat of arms: ‘DORDRECHT.’

Print used in Gaspar Bouttats and Jan Peeters’: ‘Thooneel der steden ende sterckten van t’ Vereenight Nederlandt (…) / Theatre des villes et fortresses des Provinces Unies (…).’ published in Antwerp by Bouttats around 1675.

Etching on paper, text in letterpress with very small margins; plate mark: 148 x 250 mm, total: 183 x 275; a vertical folding crease towards the right half, some smudges along the margins, a light stain on the bottom margin, somewhat aging paper, otherwise in very good condition.
