Inscribed on the top right corner: ‘Brederode 29 Aug. ’52.’ Lettered on the bottom left corner: ‘JHvWarf’ (or ‘JHvWar f[ecit]’) or ‘JHvMarf’ (or ‘JHvMar f[ecit]’). Unfortunately, there is no known artist responding to such signature. Nevertheless, the maker must have been a very skilled amateur. (We are grateful to dr.
